Potty Training Day 7 - whewww....

On day #7 of "only underpants" for Wyatt, I am thinking "it sure was easier when Will was at daycare all day during this potty training stage!" I don't think I really thanked his teachers quite enough for all the work they were doing! Whewww...running to the bathroom at least every hour just to try PLUS watching him very carefully to catch all the "faces" so we can run to the potty before accidents happen...it's exhausting! He is telling me "mommy, I have (insert type here) coming" and we run to make it in time.
Wyatt's doing pretty good though with only 2 accidents all day yesterday and many successful trips to the potty, I call it a successful day! We went cold turkey with the diapers. This seemed to work great for Will and from what I have heard other people say, it's a great way to train. He knows that he doesn't wear diapers anymore and at naps and night he wears "night time underwear" aka pull-ups. We have been to several public places and luckily no accidents. He LOVES his "potty chart" where he gets to put stickers each time he goes potty- 1 sticker for pee-pee and 2 stickers for poo-poo. It's hanging on the fridge and he shows off his new stickers to Daddy every day. He has tractors and scooby doo and spiderman and lightning mcqueen and thomas and farm animals and sports, pretty much anything and everything! He runs to his sticker pouch and says, "hmmm.....how bout dis one!" Then he gets to put it anywhere he wants to on his chart. Yesterday Will was looking at it and Wyatt comes up and says angrily, "don't look at my CHAARRTT!" (He was getting hungry and tired before naptime, he's not usually that grumpy) I explained that Will was just admiring all his stickers and was proud of him for going potty so much. Wyatt says, "oh, okay....see dis blue scooby doo...see dis little bitty kitty cat..."

Anyhoo...he's getting better and better at feeling it coming, and maybe this time next week, he'll be on a roll!

This video doesn't really pertain to this post but it's so cute. Will and Wyatt dancing after they watched Underdog with Daddy. Will's a natural break-dancer :)
