Wyatt's Water Wagon

Looking back through the pictures on my camera, I noticed that I'm a little behind on updating the blog. It seems that lately any free time I have, I spend sleeping! Only 5 more weeks to go before baby Weston arrives...wheww!!! Anyway, we have been pretty busy the past few weeks and I'll try to post some pictures soon. I have pictures from the men and boys retreat Trent took with the boys, a recent zoo trip with our playgroup, a spring fling/candy hunt at church and the beautiful new flower bed that Trent worked so hard to build for me!! But today, I just have to post these super cute pictures of Wyatt. He absolutely LOVES playing in water. I have been wanting to get a water table for them but I think this will work just as well! After watering the flowers this morning, Wyatt starting playing in the small water puddles on the patio. That gave way to a pretty genius idea! (Well, not to some people, but to me it's pretty cool!) I decided to clean out the wagon (which is used by the boys to haul wood, dirt, toys, really anything that they are "helping" us do) and fill it with water. Wyatt thought this was the funnest thing ever!! He spent about an hour and a half playing in the water before I drug him inside to eat lunch! He wanted to save the water for after nap, so I'm sure we'll have more water playtime this afternoon!!

Of course, we had to take his shirt off so he wouldn't get it all wet!
Should have taken the pants and shoes off too, because by the end, they were soaked!!

He would fill the bucket up with water, then dump it out just to refill it again.

He gave his tractors and trucks a bath too!

SPLASH!!

He is having so much fun!!!

And working so hard

This is the first time I told him NOT to drink the water....he was lapping it up like a dog.

Uh-oh, he's on a mission.....

Where is he going?

to the sandbox of course! What good is water without a little sand?!

Here he is "making the dirt all muddy"

The 2nd time I had to tell him NOT to drink the water!! He said, "but its really yummy mommy!" ewwww!

So... if he can't drink it, he might as well dump it on his head!

Gotta cool off after all that hard work!

Next he runs up to me and says, "Hey mom, my hat floats! And the whale is gonna eat it!" I said, "well, you better go rescue it". So he did!

Easter 2010

Easter morning the boys woke up to lots of goodies in their baskets. Will was so proud of his star wars activity book!

Wyatt was amazed at everything...I think he was still a little sleepy!

Then it was off to get ready for church. Aren't they so cute in their matching Easter shirts?! Wyatt would tell everyone, "look at my new shirt"

This is yet another example of my great photography skills (insert sarcastic tone here). I decide to take the picture on the shady side of the house next to the beautiful two-toned lamp post with half a garage door and half a window in the background. At least the one above is better....minus the basketball goal :)

After church, we went to Aunt Jane's for egg hunting and Easter dinner. It was a beautiful day and the boys loved running around hunting eggs.

Landon got come too but Noah was sick... :(

Will was again very serious on his "hunt"

Aunt Jane and Uncle John got all the boys a sports Easter bunny. As you can see, Will LOVED his Mr. Baseball!

Wyatt also loved Mr. Football. He has been sleeping with him every night since.

Of course, the loving and egg hunting could only last so long....the sword fighting and basketball playing had to come out eventually!

No sweet little girls around here to tone down the rowdiness...

Afterwards we went back to church and then met up with Trent's family for more Easter fun.
We had a great day and the boys loved all the goodies they got!

P.S. Just a cute picture of what Wyatt does while I'm at the computer in the mornings. He loves to draw and color so he'll pick out a piece of trash and sit contently!

Once he noticed I was taking the picture, he wanted me to get a picture of his "scary alligator face" :)

The New Ride

I'm pretty sure that on the "list of things I want to do before turning 30", buying a minivan was not one of them. However, yesterday we purchased a very nice 2011 silver Toyota Sienna, and yes, we are both still 29! We are very excited and LOVE our new car! It's by far the nicest car we have owned and we plan to enjoy it for MANY years!!!

With little Weston coming along soon, we just didn't have room in our 5 passenger Trailblazer for 2 booster seats, a car seat and all the other "stuff" that goes along with 3 kids. This provides plenty of room for 7 and even 8 if we need it. Plus it has all the cool "minivan features" that I didn't even know I wanted until I saw them!! (electric sliding doors and electric hatch, electric windows that actually come down in the middle row and electric "pop-out" windows in the 3rd row, built-in retractable sun shades on both the middle and 3rd rows, TONS of storage, blue tooth in the steering wheel for hands free talking enjoyment, built-in "mom mirror" to see whats going on the seats behind you, plus lots more). And, you can't tell it very well here, but it does have a sunroof too!!

A very sporty look for a minivan I think!
Notice the rear spoiler

Leather, heated seats

The middle row can be captains chairs for easy access to the back, or if needed, we can put a seat between to make it a 3 person bench seat.

Huge storage in the back with plenty of room for strollers, groceries, soccer goals and bag chairs! (the 8th seat stores neatly in the side pocket back here when not in use!)
And these back seats fold down (with literally 1 hand needed) to fold flat. Wow! We sure love our new ride!!!
