6 Week Stats

I can't believe Weston will be 6 weeks old tomorrow!! At this point with Will and Wyatt, they would be starting daycare :( I'm SO glad Weston doesn't have to do that and I'm able to stay home with the boys now!!!
Weston is getting sweeter each day! He gives us lots of smiles (he's actually partially smiling in the picture even though it looks like he's filling a diaper). He's not great at smiling on cue yet, but that's what makes the smiles so special...they are his idea and not prompted! He weighs 11 lbs and I just moved him up to size 2 diapers because of his big belly! He's growing way too fast!! He sleeps about 6 hours at night before waking up to eat and then going right back to sleep for another 3 hours. And last night he slept for......get this...7 1/2 hours before waking up!!! Hopefully that 8 hour sleep will come pretty soon, although I can't complain about the 6! Another big milestone he has accomplished is turning over. Sunday, I put him on his belly and he flipped over to his back 3 different times! His brothers are still doing really good with him. They give him sweet kisses and are very careful and gentle. It's so sweet...to them, he is "Baby Weston", not just Weston and Wyatt has even called him many times, "Baby Jack". When they talk to him, they get a higher and higher pitched voice. I hope they are always so sweet and nice to him!!

On another subject, Wyatt, Weston and I have discovered this great pool in Lebanon. We have been with the playgroup a couple of times and each time Wyatt has a blast!! He calls it his pool because I said it was just his size (only 1-2 feet deep). And the best part of all...it's free!

I'm sure we'll be back several more times. In fact, Wyatt keeps talking about it and Will is begging me to take him (he was in preschool the times we came here) so I'm sure we'll go again soon.

Again with the open mouth....yuck!! I promise I tell him to shut it. He's pretty good now, I just call out his name and do the "shut mouth" symbol with my hands. He gets this look on his face like "oh yeah" and squeezes it shut tight!

Another wonderful thing about it....it wears the kiddos out! Nice quiet car ride and great nap when we get home!

Trucks Trucks Trucks!!!

For 3 little boys what could be better than a day of climbing in, out and around "big giant trucks"?! We met our playgroup at Moss Wright Park for the Goodlettsville Truck Day a few weeks back and the boys had so much fun exploring all the trucks and tractors!! It was SOOOOO HHHHOOOOOOTTTT outside but we stayed (and waited in very long lines!) until they sat in EVERY SINGLE vehicle!

As we were walking up to the truck show, I attempted to get a group shot of the 3 brothers. It's not so easy....this was the best I could do. You would think they were looking directly into the sun with those painful faces! (they were not by the way)
It was so humid outside, my camera fogged up immediately! This was what we saw walking up...Will was saying, "ohhh! Awesome!!
Wyatt loved looking at the trucks from a distance. He only actually climbed into 3 of the big ones (a firetruck, backhoe and crane). He wouldn't even get close to this one without Will hugging him!

Will didn't have any problem climbing all around! He even poked his head through the "sunroof" of this SWAT Truck.

I love the name of this one! It just sounds tough!!

"The gun truck" as Will called it. He was totally into character here!

They got to push buttons and knobs and yes, even horns. Will was beeping the horn in the "army jeep" for about 5 minutes straight!

This was a pretty cool double decker bus that Will still talks about. He will see a big tour bus or something similar and ask, "is that a double decker Mom?"

He was such a big boy and took the "tour" all by himself! This is from the 2nd story!

Wyatt was a little more familiar with this and didn't mind getting close!

As long as they like getting in this seat its okay....they better stay away from the back!

Will got to turn on the siren on the cool police motorcycle! As much as Wyatt is obsessed with motorcycles, he wouldn't go near this one!

Notice the sweaty hair...I bet it was 110 degrees outside!!

They were pooped but they didn't want to leave until we saw a few more!!

He's completely drenched but at least he climbed up in this one!

And they both climbed up in the giant crane!
As we were finally leaving, they spotted the "small trucks and tractors". They climbed all over the tractor, bobcat, and zero turns.

Boys and their trucks! It sure was alot of fun, even with the heat!

And I'll leave on this note....

The Jumpin' Water

Yesterday I took the boys to Indian Lake to play in the fountains (or as they call it..."the jumpin water"). This was our first trip to the fountains and they had so much fun!!! They played for over an hour and then we had to leave because a giant storm cloud was moving in... but I'm sure we'll be back many more times before the summer is gone! I don't have any pictures of Weston - he just slept in the stroller the whole time :)

Pre-soaked....they were so excited to get in!!

Will found out that he could put the red cup in the water stream and it would
"float" it. Pretty cool!

Anytime Wyatt is in water lately, his face has this same expression....wide open mouth with tongue out : } ewwww!

After this picture, I told him AGAIN not to drink the water. I tried to use the grossness factor but not sure that it worked. I told him the water was full of everyone's yucky feet germs!

Will ran so many laps around and around...I bet he ran over a mile :)

Catching the water

Again with the tongue...yuck!! But a sweet picture :)
Jumpin water = free, wet, summertime fun :)

Will the Graduate!

Will had a very big day last Thursday...he graduated from Pre-K!! He has attended Bright Horizon's pre-school since he was 6 weeks old and has been through all the classrooms from Goldfish to Blue Whales (it's a fish themed school :) He has learned so much like counting to 101 (they had a fun Dalmatian party for that accomplishment!), how to write his whole name and how to write and read all the letters of the alphabet. He has learned so many other things too like his address and phone number and so many things that surprise me when he knows it- like adding, subtracting, geography, etc! We are very proud of you Will! He was very excited to graduate and is also very excited to start Kindergarten this fall!!!

The ceremony was really nice. Each child got their diploma from Mrs. Tracy the center director.
They also had a slide show from the previous year complete with music and all! And they gave each child a copy of the DVD to take home.

The kids had quite a show prepared as well! They sang several songs and they were so cute!! The songs were all set to familiar tunes and they were all about having fun in Pre-K and going to Kindergarten.

Will loved singing his songs and continues to sing them at home!

I still can't believe he is 5 years old! Kindergarten here we come!!!

Fishing

We decided to take the boys bank fishing a few weekends ago at Old Hickory Lake. Weston was only 2 weeks old, so he didn't participate too much :) The other 3 boys LOVED it! It was H-O-T but we had shade, fans and water to play with, so all in all, it was a fun day. We took a picnic lunch and the boys thought it was SOOO cool! They absolutely love to have "picnics"! (A few days ago, me and the boys took our lunch to the neighborhood playground to picnic because they love it so much!)

Wyatt enjoyed his lunch!
Will ate quickly so he could hurry up and go fishing!

Weston just hung out in the shade

It took forever for Trent to get everything set up and Wyatt sat here about 2.5 seconds!

Will was a little more patient and sat with his pole most of the time.

He did get a little hot...everyone needs a fan break once in a while!

Not sure if it's very visible, but this is Trent fishing with Wyatt's pole and Wyatt "fishing" with a big stick!

Will's hooked something!!! He's reeling it in....

...It's a turtle!!
The first of 3 turtles that we caught that day :) (no fish just turtles...Trent says we were fishing on Turtle Island!)

It didn't matter what they caught though, they all had fun just the same :)

Wyatt was very interested in the fan and "fanned off" everything and everyone!

He even "fanned off" Weston!

Once they were both tired of fishing, they decided to play "fan wars"!

This was a sneak attack on daddy!

Run Wyatt!!!

It doesn't work as well when the batteries are out :( He figured it out though!

We all had alot of fun and slept very well that night! The next day was mostly spent lounging around the house. Doesn't that look like a pretty silly group?!

And I have to add a cute picture of Weston to the post! 2 weeks old and wide awake!
