Spring Fun

Right now the boys are upstairs taking a bath and Dad is apparently being very funny because all I hear is laughing, giggling and a little squealing coming from the bathroom. They sure love their special time with Daddy when he gets home from work! Tonight was fun... they learned how to play Battleship (great classic game!), helped take down the dog crate in the garage, played basketball and helped me clean up the kitchen. Now they are settling down (maybe!) in the bathtub and will soon get 2 stories from Daddy before bed. With such a wonderful husband, this is a great time for Mom to get caught up on the blog!
The boys and I went to an Easter Egg hunt with our playgroup on Wednesday. Both boys loved finding the eggs and of course had to compare who had the most. They were so cute!!

Will hunting...he took it very seriously!
Wyatt enjoyed running around and occasionally stumbling upon an egg or two!

"hey...here's one!"

"see mom, I found some!"
Will was happy because he found lots!

This was his favorite because it had stickers on it.

After the hunt (and eating alot of the candy!), the kids played for a while on the playground. Wyatt is "super" jumping off the "giant" wall!

Will's just being silly!

If there is a slide, my boys will find some creative way to get to the bottom!

After a fun playtime, Nannie met us at the park and invited us to their house for supper.
The boys got to ride 4-wheelers with Papa and were as happy as can be!!!
Will got to ride the razor 4-wheeler and follow Papa and Wyatt around.
He was such a big boy riding all over the place like that!
concentrate.....
you can see the fun on his face!

Wyatt was having the time of his life as long as he was on the 4-wheeler with Papa. He's not quite big enough for the razor yet...but it won't be long!

On Saturday, we had an Easter Egg hunt in our neighborhood. There were so many kids and the boys didn't get as many eggs as they would have liked, but it was fun either way.
Wyatt is on an egg hunting mission!

"Okay, couldn't find many....now I'm just skipping along..."

"I'm gonna find the most eggs!! You better look out, here I come"

They collected maybe 4 eggs total, but they both got goodie bags, so all was okay!

Happy Easter!!!

Weston Jack Napier in 3D

We finally did it!! This past Wednesday at 30 weeks pregnant, we had our 3D ultrasound to get a first glimpse of little Weston. It was unbelievable!! The ultrasound was so clear and Weston did great at showing his face and feet... and other parts :) He was very still for a while (which made for good pictures - I have 67 pictures on a CD from this!) and then he started moving all around for us. He would make faces, yawn, suck his arm, rub his head, he even grabbed one of his toes. So neat to watch!! It was like watching a newborn baby move around which is amazing to me because he's still in my tummy!
At one point, the tech told Trent to lean down and talk to him because they tend to respond to Daddy's voice (they hear mommy all the time!). As soon as Trent started talking, Weston reached out with his arms and started moving his head all around. He was trying to find Daddy! It was so sweet! This was such a great experience and we have pictures and a DVD that captured a truly unique time in his life!

When we first saw him, my first thought was, "He looks just like Will and Wyatt when they were newborns!" I guess they all kind of have the same genes:)
So Sweet! His little ankles are crossed and this shows he has the Napier big feet!

Muscle Man Pose!

A happy baby already :) He even has dimples!

I was pushing on him a little too hard!

I really think he is laughing here!

More sweet smiles!

Just chillin'

He's snuggling up!
This is where he grabbed his toe (the one beside the big toe).

The flexibility is amazing!! He's also giving his little arm a kiss :)

I can't wait to meet our sweet little boy!!

And we did confirm he is a boy!! ;)
Due Date May 25th.....

Just the 2 of Us

....Well, not exactly, Weston was with us too but he doesn't count yet! He kind of tags along every where I go these days :) Either way, it was nice to be "childless" for a couple of days!
This past weekend, Trent and I had the opportunity to go on a marriage retreat with Smyrna Church of Christ, lead by Trent's former youth minister. It was held at Fall Creek Falls, and with all the rain we have had lately, the falls were beautiful!!! The retreat was at the Inn by the lake and they provided all the food...yummy!!! We had lots of fun with the other couples as well as plenty of opportunity to focus on ourselves. The retreat was centered around making God the "first love" in the marriage and how when we work to make sure that happens, the rest of the relationship grows as well. There were several group sessions with games and lecture type lessons, but we had the majority of Saturday to explore the park and complete our "one on one" conversations. They gave us all 4 topics to discuss together and lots of in depth questions to get the conversations going. We were supposed to have these conversations in different places, like "on a nature trail", "by still waters", etc. This was perfect! It was such a great way to talk about things and learn more about each other in a beautiful/natural setting! I highly recommend this retreat (it's open to the public - we didn't know anyone there!). We came away completely refreshed and with a renewed goal to make God a priority in our lives.
Well, as usual, I took WAY too many pictures....although I am disappointed I didn't get any pictures of some of the games we played. In one game, Trent and I had to wrap a present with one arm wrapped around each other and use only the other "free" hand. We didn't win!
In another game, I placed a cookie on Trent's head and he had to make it go into his mouth using only his face! Hilarious!!! He did manage to get one in though!

This is the view from our room...so pretty!
Waterfalls are always prettier from the bottom, so of course we had to hike down there to see them! The Cascades.

We had our "conversations" at the bottom of falls and on some trails and by creeks. It was so nice!

I have never seen the falls so full or the water so clear!

Self-timer shot!

This is the main falls...we didn't hike down this one! I'm a little too pregnant for that!

Again, the main falls. I've never seen them so full!

Swinging bridge at Piney Falls. There is a great campsite down below the bridge by the creek. We'll have to check that out when it warms up a little!

There was hardly anyone on the trails. We could take our time and it was so quiet!

Piney Falls...we had never been to this one before. It was gorgeous!

My big belly sticking out!

Trent and his sunflower seeds....He looks like his face is swollen!

We couldn't find a spot for self-timer here, but luckily, another couple walked by and took it for us.

Okay, so I know I shouldn't have, but I wanted to prove to myself that I could still go down the cable trail at 28 weeks pregnant.

We were being very careful so it took us FOREVER to get down! In this picture, Trent is saying, "put the camera up and lets go!"

So I handed it to him to take a picture of me!

This is a scary part where there is no cable to hold to. After probably 30-45 minutes to get down the whole trail, it only took 5 minutes to get back up!!

Once you get to the bottom, the views are unbelievable!!

There are 2 waterfalls to see at the bottom. The big one and this smaller one to the left.

We love hiking and being out in nature so this was the perfect weekend for us!!
