Homework in Pre-school?!

Seriously?? Will just had his first homework assignment...in pre-school! He goes 2 days a week to Bright Horizons at Dollar General and he brought home a homework research project! I guess I better get ready, kindergarten is next year!!
Bugs, Bugs, Everywhere!!! This is the theme of the project for the class.
His assignment was to research Carausius Morosus. What it looks like, what it eats, where to find it, where it lives, what the nest looks like and what are the defenses or special jobs. We put all the answers on the homework sheet he brought home and he will "teach" it to the class on Wednesday. It was hard to find something that he could do to participate in this project. We found pictures and I let him pick the color of the paper and glue them on. Then after I found some good websites, I read the information to him. I let him pick some cool colors to write out the questions and then we answered them together. He was so excited to do this project.
He can tell you all about the "Indian Stick Bug" now!!! Will's favorite part about the carausius morosus - "They pull their legs in to trick the other bugs so they don't eat them!"
