June and July

June and July...good times, good food and good fun, what could be better! That pretty much sums up our summer so far. Beginning in June, we bought a new boat and have had SO much fun. The best purchase we could have made! We are still learning how to navigate around the lake and how to master those fun boating sports (especially skiing!) but it has been a blast learning! The boys LOVE taking the boat out and every time Wyatt sees the boat in the backyard or driveway, he says "boat, splash...come on momma". Will is even brave enough to ride the tube! He calls it a "buckin bronco"! But his absolute favorite thing is to jump off the back of the boat into the lake! It has been such a fun way to "get away" with friends and family.

Wyatt and Nannie enjoying the wind and sun!

Wyatt NOT wanting to get in the water. He loved it eventually :)

Will's favorite...doing cannon balls into the lake!

Trent was FINALLY able to get on the tube :)

Of course, we can't always be out on the lake :( so we have had some great fun in the backyard as well! Our little balls of energy are always asking to go outside. They love to play on the gym set, 4-wheelers, playground and swimming pool. One of their favorite things is to push the big trucks around the backyard and have a race. At this point, Will can lap Wyatt pretty easily, but Wyatt is getting surprisingly fast! We try to get out to the playground a couple of times per week and Will always asks if there will be "friends" there. He is so outgoing! If there are other kids, he doesn't hesitate to run up and ask their names and if he can play with them.

4 -wheelin and Sliding...wheeeeee!

Just hanging around!

The times with family have been really special this year as well. We had a great 4th of July cookout/pool party at Uncle Kerry's house, even though it rained :) Will was so funny...when it started raining, he said "oh no, our pool party is ruined!" Of course it wasn't. We still got to eat and shoot fireworks in the rain!

After swimming, it was time for fireworks! Wyatt loved the poppers; Aunt Jane and Trent loved the sparklers!

Wyatt did not love the fireworks! He was so scared!...The guys lighting the fireworks in the rain :)
Another fun thing we did was go to Beech Bend amusement park with Aunt Rachel, Landon, Noah, Pat, Lindsey and Alexa . (forgot my camera on this trip, sorry!) We all had so much fun and cant wait to go back in August. Will was big enough to ride most of the rides (even the the big water slides) and Wyatt loved the ones he got to ride as well.

The most recent adventure we took was to a family reunion in West TN. We stayed for a 3 day weekend at the house where my grandfather grew up and had a blast playing in the woods, fishing and hanging out with family. We even had a picnic in the creek at the big rock. and let me stress BIG rock. We had 11 people eating there and still had plenty of room to play. The boys weren't too anxious to get in the water at first, but with a little coaxing, they loved it!
The big rock and the picnic. Memaw's laughing is contagious!

My little explorers!

June and July have been full and exciting and the summer isn't even over yet! Whew....
Make it a great day! - Jennifer
